ARCHBISHOP GEORGE AUGUSTUS STALLINGS, JR.
NATIONAL CO-CHAIRMAN EMERITUS
Archbishop George Augustus Stallings, Jr. is the Prelate and Founder of the Imani Temple African-American Catholic Congregations (AACC), an autonomous and African-centered Catholic Church. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the World Bishops’ Council. He holds a Doctor of Divinity degree. Archbishop Stallings was pivotal to the success of the 2001 We Will Stand tour, in which rallies were held in churches in all 50 states across this nation. This caused enormous growth for ACLC. The tour was the foundation for Pastors Forums, in which biblical principles are revealed, based on the inspiration of Jesus. New wine for new wineskins is the theme of Mark 2:22, in which revelation pours forth from the scriptures. Jesus tells us to not put new wine into old wineskins.
Under Archbishop’s leadership, ACLC also initiated the 172 clergy going to Korea in November of 2011 to pray at the Demilitarized Zone and also bring about unity between all faiths in Korea for peace on the peninsula. He also gives great support to the ACLC Women In Ministry, founded in 2004, in which the True Family Values seminars have developed to a new level so that women pastors and first ladies are embraced, encouraged and lifted up as leaders of all people to bring about the emphasis of purity before marriage in our youth, and fidelity and faithfulness in marriages as blessed married couples.
