ACLC Dayton OH Women In Ministry Conference

On Saturday, August 21, 2010, Dayton, OH held their first, quarterly Women in Ministry Conference. It was initiated and organized by Dr. Shirley Johnson and hosted by Bishop Emma Curtis White at the Church On The Rock, Inc. Dr. Yolanda Garman, a clinical psychiatrist, gave a very informative talk on Awareness of Domestic Violence - how to recognize signs of abuse and where to get help. She left room for questions and answers....

In part he said, “Bishop Arnette went to Washington D.C. and along with other women of faith visited the halls of government to guide and inform our decision makers. She went there to oppose and expose a terrible wrong, the persecution and kidnapping of believers in Japan, and to enlist the support of lawmakers in bringing this injustice to an end. Women in Ministry Austin, Texas, held the first mini rally

On Saturday March 7, the Women in Ministry of Austin, Texas, held their first mini rally, prompted by Sister Tanya Edwards at the Atlanta Conference. Rev. Tessie Willis, one of the WIM National Coordinators came one day early from Waco to help us mobilize some women. She arrived in Austin late Thursday night after a long day of work. Next morning we had a breakfast meeting with Pastor Clarence and Sister Brenda Jones of the Greater Saint John where we have been holding our monthly Prayer Breakfast for more than 2 years. Sister Jones was so excited about Women in Ministry’s Prayer Meetings. She has joined the National Prayer Conference Call several times and been the major supporter of our monthly Prayer Meetings at her church or at the Twelve Street Baptist Church. She decided to tag along with us as we went on to our Luncheon meeting with Sister Aria Nobles, the First Lady of Twelve Street, who brought along Sister Shermetta Jones, the First Lady of Emmanuel Baptist Church....

On Saturday March 7 the Women in Ministry of Austin, Texas, held their first mini rally, prompted by Sister Tanya Edwards at the Atlanta Conference. Rev. WIM 40 Day Prayer Line from March 19 to April 31

Mrs. Reiko Jenkins approached the other coordinators about having a fasting and a condition for the Women in Ministry. She suggested having a 40 day prayer call. We all immediately felt that this was the right thing to do....

ACLC-WIM Atlanta National Conference Report

There were approximately 200 in attendance that included quite a few men. They also could feel the spiritual uplifting from one another. There was a very high spirit of God that reached down and touched the heart of every woman.
We had wonderful speakers, such as Dr. Rev. Gloria Wright and Pastor Debye Swiley. We had an anointed hour prayer session with many receiving blessings. There were anointed singers, and we also had the Hawaiian musical instrument players, singers, and dancers. We even had a clown that performed during our mini ‘Rally’ session and what a glorious and fun time we had....

Rev. Tanya Edwards: My Relationship to God

“Last Sunday (June 1), 147 family members and 11 guests gathered for the Sunday Worship Service at Ashland Church. We were blessed to have Rev. Tanya Edwards, pastor and wife of Bishop Jesse Edwards, and one of the National coordinators of Women in Ministry, delivered the message. Her topic was ‘My Relationship to God’ and she used the story of Mary and Martha in Luke 10: 38 – 42 as part of her text. She encouraged us in a simple but powerful way to focus on attending God as the top priority in our daily life.
