2010 Love Hands Across Baltimore Crusade & Rally
Jul 30, 2010
Despite the intense 95+-degree summer heat on June 12th, a crowd of about 300 gathered for Love Hands Across Baltimore, a crusade and rally organized by local ACLC clergy. The external goal of the day was to form a human chain across the length of North Avenue in Baltimore (from the east and west ends of the city) calling for love, compassion, concern, and cooperation of community organizations and individuals to address the issue of violence. The enthusiastic beat of several local marching bands coming across North Avenue to the rally site added to the excitement in front of the Board of Education building where the crowd of about 300 persons gathered. ...   > more

ACLC-Montana: 13th Annual March Against Drugs and Violence
Jun 28, 2010
Over 400 young people, civic, church and political leaders participated in Billings, Montana’s thirteenth annual March Against Drugs and Violence on June 12th. Originally founded by ACLC clergy in 1998 with about a dozen youth, a handful of parents and two clergy, the annual march has grown into a citywide community event and is recognized by the state as the largest event of its kind. There is no other way to explain the participation, passion and presence of so many great people for a great cause than due to the hand of God. As our Governor Brian Schweitzer wrote, “Dear Mike: Lt. Governor John Bohlinger and I are pleased to offer our support to the 13th annual March Against Drugs and Violence. I believe this effort to stop drug abuse and violence will be a tremendous asset to the community and the state of Montana.”...   > more

Feb 16, 2010
On January 30, we gathered clergy and Ambassadors for Peace from the Los Angeles area for a gala event to introduce the autobiography of Rev. Sun Myung Moon, “As a Peace-Loving Global Citizen.” Around 220 people gathered in our new facility for the banquet and program. We heard from Haitham Bundakji, who has a deep testimony of learning true love for a former enemy because of True Parents. His short reflections on the Middle East Peace Initiative were a very persuasive endorsement of the work for peace by True Parents. He was strongly applauded and received a deserved standing ovation. ...   > more

ACLC Stands for Human Rights in the Goto Case in Japan
Nov 20, 2009
It is the duty of all faith leaders to defend and uplift human rights for all. Recently in Chicago 300 clergy gathered and heard the shocking story of egregious violations of human rights that are currently going on in Japan. Over the years thousands of the members of the Unification movement have been kidnapped, confined against their will, and put under severe mental distress and physical abuse in attempt to force them to renounce their faith. In one incident our innocent young sister was repeatedly raped by her "deprogrammer" in an attempt to demoralize her and break her spirit....   > more

Dr. Walter Fauntroy Spoke on Global Peace at GPF Japan
Mar 17, 2009
The main program took place on March 1 at the Saitama Super Arena, where 20,000 gathered to celebrate the vision of one family under God. Rev. Walter Fauntroy who served for 20 years as a member of the US Congress, inspired the audience when he spoke of the convergence of the vision of US civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., with that of Rev. Dr. Sun Myung Moon. He added that a new generation was arising 40 years after the assassination of Dr. King in 1968, and he referred to this as a “Joshua generation” that overcomes the challenges they face and moves humanity into a new promised land....   > more

The Crowning of Jesus in Jerusalem
Feb 10, 2009
Five years ago, December 22, 2003, a very special ceremony was held in Independence Park in Jerusalem. It was a ceremony in which Jesus was given honor, acceptance and love by representatives of his own immediate family - and his extended family - all the descendants of Abraham. To address the root causes of the strife in the Middle East and in particular between the family of Abraham, faith leaders, inspired by the vision of love and reconciliation of the Rev. Dr. and Mrs. Sun Myung Moon, sought to show the love and full acceptance of one another, the founders of the Abrahamic faiths and the traditions they represented. ...   > more

ACLC Representatives joined GPF in Brazil
Dec 11, 2008
Brasilia, Brazil - With more than 20,000 noisy Brazilians of all ages filling the Nelson Nilson stadium with noise and enthusiasm, Bishop Manoel Ferreira, the tireless chairman and promoter of the Global Peace Festival (GPF) held in Brasilia last weekend could perhaps at last afford himself a quiet smile of satisfaction. “This is a very important time for Brazil,” he told reporters. “We are one of the fastest growing nations in the world, and it is time for us to show the world what we can do.” Although Brazil has its full share of social and economic problems, the most urgent problems facing its 180 million people are not primarily material or economic, but moral and spiritual, Ferreira said. ...   > more
