The New Jersey Lovin’ Life Choir sang To God Be the Glory, and Down By the Riverside. The hymns left everyone feeling uplifted and embraced by the Holy Spirit.

Rev. Sato gave a brief introduction to ACLC Women in Ministry and showed a DVD of the 3rd Annual WIM conference held in Atlanta, Georgia. All the women participants were encouraged to sign up for more information about future WIM events in New Jersey.

Rev. Thom, the keynote speaker, said he was honored to give the first message of the second decade of ACLC. His sermon was entitled, When the Wine Runs Out. Rev. Thom referred to the Bible passage John 1:2, where the wine at the Wedding had run out. He used the story to point out that emergencies don’t let you know they are coming. However, the Lord is always present and willing to respond to our needs abundantly, if we seek His help. In the midst of scarcity God provides abundantly.

He also used the example of the Good Samaritan in contrast to the religious leaders who past by the stranger on the road. The Samaritan though what would happen to the stranger if he didn’t stop and help him. The others thought only of themselves.

Rev. Thom concluded by saying that the wine has run out in many people’s lives. They have no more money, jobs, energy, purpose or vision. We should not live by the American standard of abundance of material wealth but by the love and generosity of God. We should give abundantly to those in need around us.

Prayers for unity were given by Rev. Adewumi and Rev. Jean Pierre. Then, Elder Paige, the host pastor, thanked everyone for coming and expressed appreciation to his church members for helping to prepare for the Breakfast.
